PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a woven or knitted fabric having high water-absorbing and rapid drying property, high air permeability, anti-see through property and moderate softness.SOLUTION: A woven or knitted fabric comprises a multilayer structure. In a yarn constituting the multilayer structure, not-yet-untwisted portions A having a twist in a false twist direction, over-untwisted portions B having a twist in a direction opposite to the false twist direction, and twist-free crimped portions C having no twist are repeatedly arranged along a yarn longitudinal direction in the order of the not-yet-untwisted portions A-the crimped portions C-the over-untwisted portions B- the crimped portions C. The yarn comprises weakly fused polyester false-twisted yarns that satisfies the following requirements. The not-yet-untwisted portions A have an average length of 7 mm or shorter. The over-untwisted portions B have an average length of 7 mm or longer. The not-yet-untwisted portions A have a cross-sectional void ratio of 7% or more and 40% or less. The problem is solved by arranging the yarn in a skin surface side layer and/or a middle layer of the fabric and therefore the fabric has an air permeability of 100 cc/cm/sec or more. |
