<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical instrument capable of suitably removing foreign matter in the body. <P>SOLUTION: The medical instrument 20 includes a thrombus capturing instrument 21 and a storage catheter 22. The thrombus capturing instrument 21 comprises a core wire 24 and a brush portion 25 that is provided at the distal end of the core wire 24. The brush portion 25 for use in the capture of a thrombus in the body comprises a wire portion 27 and a plurality of bristle materials 28 that are radially provided on the wire portion 27. The storage catheter 22 has a storage tube portion 38 for housing the brush portion 25. In a state in which the brush portion 25 is housed in the storage tube portion 38, an external force is applied to the plurality of bristle materials 28 by an inner peripheral surface of the storage tube portion 38 so that the plurality of the bristle materials can be brought down to a proximal side while being urged to the side of erection with respect to the wire portion 27 by its own urging force. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
