Provided is a novel heterocyclic compound which can be used as a carrier transport material, a host material, or a light emitting layer of a light-emitting element. Especially, the purpose of the present invention is to provide a heterocyclic compound which can obtain a light-emitting element having good properties even if it is applied to a light-emitting element emitting phosphorescence. Provided is a heterocyclic compound including an indolo[3,2,1-jk]carbazole frame and a dibenzo[f,h]quinoxaline frame. The heterocyclic compound has a wide band gap and high triple state level. Also, the heterocyclic compound is a material with excellent carrier transportation.
