[Class 44] Sliding windows, doors &c. are frictionally held ir adjusted position by a bowed spring 3 secured at one end to frame 4 of the window &c. by screws 5 passed through slots 6 to allow limited adjustment o: effective curvature, and by a screw 7 applied after such adjustment. The free end of the spring 3 is anchored by a coiled spring 8 to a screw 9 the positioning of which also allows limited adjustment of spring 3. A recess 10 is cut to accommodate spring 3, and a deeper recess 11 for spring 8. Spring 3 bears frictionally against the guide channels, not shown. |
