The present invention relates to a current carrying device for modifying a surface of carbon materials, and more specifically, to a current carrying device for modifying a surface of carbon materials which is used for surface modifying carbon materials including activated carbon and carbon used as an electrode for a capacitor of an electric double layer or an active material for a hybrid secondary battery. According to the present invention, pore structure change is minimized and impurities on the inside can be removed according to surface modification through heat generated by current carrying in a short period of time. Also, output capability and long term reliability of an energy storage device prepared by using the same can be improved by substituting an unnecessary functional group of the surface into a necessary functional group. |
