PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow digest data indicating a relationship between divided image streams to be created in parallel with acquisition of image streams. SOLUTION: An image acquisition section acquires sequentially image streams. A storage switching section 180 switches a storage destination of the image streams on the basis of a residual storage capacity of a predetermined storage medium 170a that becomes a storage destination among a plurality of storage media 170 each storing at least a part of the image streams. A digest extraction section 138 detects a digest scene satisfying a predetermined condition from the image streams, and extracts digest data corresponding to the digest scene. A storage control section 182 controls a predetermined storage medium to store the extracted digest data with respect to the image stream stored in a storage medium 170b of a switched destination.
