1. A liquid crystal display device comprising:
a first substrate including an insulative substrate; a switching element formed above the insulative substrate; an organic insulation film which is disposed above the insulative substrate and the switching element and includes a first contact hole penetrating to the switching element; an island-shaped relay electrode which is formed on the organic insulation film, extends to the first contact hole and is electrically connected to the switching element; a common electrode formed on the organic insulation film and spaced apart from the relay electrode; an interlayer insulation film which is disposed on the relay electrode and the common electrode and includes a second contact hole penetrating to the relay electrode at a position different from a position of the first contact hole; a pixel electrode which is formed on the interlayer insulation film, extends to the second contact hole, is electrically connected to the relay electrode, and includes a slit which is opposed to the common electrode; and an alignment film covering the pixel electrode and the interlayer insulation film; a second substrate which is disposed to be opposed to the first substrate; and a liquid crystal layer including liquid crystal molecules held between the first substrate and the second substrate. |
