The present invention relate to a method of preparing a polymer fine particle with a reduced initial drug burst and a polymer fine particle prepared thereby, and more particularly, to a method of preparing a drug encapsulated polymer fine particle with a reduced initial burst, the method including a step of treating the polymer fine particle with an aqueous alcohol solution, to a polymer fine particle prepared thereby, and to a composition for drug delivery including the same. The present invention provides a novel method of preparing a polymer fine particle with a reduced initial burst rate. The method of the present invention can be used for a purpose of providing a drug with a novel dosage form which can prevent various side effects due to an excessive drug burst.
