FIELD: process engineering.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to treatment of solutions by microfiltration, ultrafiltration and osmofiltration and may be used in chemical, textile, microbiological, food and other industries. Unit with flat filter elements comprises first and second flanges with ledge and recess made over flat sealing surface with housing chamber provided with solution circulation arranged there between and spacers, also provided with solution circulation holes. Dielectric plates are arranged between 1and 2, 3and 4, 5and 6, 7and 8chambers on both sides of paronite shims to make in pairs the cooling chambers. Cooling agent feed and discharge pipes are arranged at housing chambers. Said 1and 2flanges have channels and unions for solution feed and discharge. Solution separation chambers and cathode and anode permeate cooling chambers alternate in the unit. Housing chamber has cathode and anode permeate discharge unions depending on via which unipolar porous electrode and membrane flows the permeate. To prevent leaks of initial and concentrated solution, outer paronite shins are arranged on outer sealing surface of flanges and housing chambers. For circulation of separated solution, paronite shims with holes aligned with housing chamber cylindrical channels are fitted in intermembrane space and between housing flanges and membranes. Ion-exchange spacers are arranged nearby membrane surface and consisting of ion-exchange substance granules and mesh. Electric current is supplied from DC source via conductors and holes arranged in housing chambers and on flange and filled with sealing compound.
