<p>The present invention relates to a power supply device for detecting sleep, a method thereof, a user terminal therefor, and a method for driving the same. According to the present invention, a user terminal which is connected to a power supply source and communicates with a power supply device supplying electricity to an electrical device includes: a communication unit for wirelessly communicating with the power supply device; a wear detection unit for detecting whether a user wears the user terminal; a motion measurement unit for measuring a motion of a worn part; a sleep determination unit for determining whether the user is asleep or not based on the measured motion; and a control unit for controlling the power supply device for cutting off/reducing power supply to the electrical device if the user is asleep while the wear of the user terminal is being detected. According to the present invention, a power supplied to the electrical device can be controlled by determining whether the user is asleep based on the motion of a part on which the user terminal is worn and the power can be efficiently managed by cutting off or reducing the level of power of the electrical device even if the user falls asleep while reading, watching a movie, or listening to music.</p> |
