Disclosed is a shifting cable damping apparatus for a vehicle. The damping apparatus includes: a shift cable connecting a transmission of the vehicle and a shift lever; a cable cover surrounding the shift cable and having a flange on one end of a transmission side; a damper surrounding the flange and spaced apart from the flange, the damper having a protrusion on one end, wherein the protrusion contacts one end of the cable cover to perpendicular to the shift cable; and a cable housing fixed to an outer circumferential surface of the transmission and surrounding the damper.
