The apparatus for processing moving images according to the present invention comprises: an image central processing unit which parses parameter information and slice header information from moving image data which is inputted from the host; and a plurality of image processors which process the moving image according to the parsed information under the control of the image central processing unit. The image processors store information required for performing boundary processing among the image processors on a memory while processing respective allocated regions, and the information stored on the memory is used to calculate filtering parameters along with the information parsed at the image central processing unit.</p>
