<p>The present invention relates to a failure diagnosis method for a vehicle brake system operated by an electric motor, and more specifically, to a failure diagnosis method for a vehicle brake system for determining which one breaks down among a regenerative braking unit, a front-wheel friction braking unit, and a rear-wheel friction braking unit of the vehicle brake system when the brake system breaks down. The failure diagnosis method of the present invention comprises the following steps of comparing the variable speed requested by a driver with the current variable speed; determining that the vehicle brake system breaks down when the variable speed requested by a driver and the current variable speed are different and comparing the torque requested by a driver and maximum regenerative braking torque; and determining that the vehicle brake system is normally operated when the variable speed requested by a driver and the current variable speed are same.</p> |
