The present invention relates to a thin flat type controlled viewing window display device including a flat type backlight unit. The thin flat type controlled viewing window display device according to the present invention comprises: a flat display panel; and a backlight unit disposed on a rear surface of the flat display panel and provided with a point light source, a coupling part converting the point light source into horizontal diffusive and straight light, a flat wave guide receiving the horizontal diffusive and straight light to emit collimate light, and a diffractive optic film adjusting an optical characteristic of the collimate light emitted from the flat wave guide. The present invention can provide a thin flat type display device having the same level thickness as a present mainstream liquid crystal display device and organic light-emitting display device and using holography technology for minimizing a light source.
