PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide novel therapeutic drugs for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).SOLUTION: The invention provides pharmaceuticals for treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) containing CD20 binding molecules as active ingredients. The CD20 binding molecules are preferably antibodies such as ofatumumab, or human monoclonal antibodies against CD20. The CD20 binding molecules are preferably combined with further therapeutic agents selected from among bronchodilators, anti-inflammatory agents, diuretics, digoxin, antihypertensives, cholesterol lowering drugs, anti-depressants,α1-antitrypsin augmentation therapy, mucolytic agents, antioxidants, immunostimulating agents, and antitussives.
