The objective of the present invention is to provide: a sealing film which exhibits excellent resistance to water vapor permeation even when used after storage in a high humidity environment; a method for producing this sealing film; and a functional element which is sealed by this sealing film. A sealing film according to the present invention is sequentially provided with a base, and a gas barrier layer and a resin layer, which are formed on one surface of the base, in this order. This sealing film is characterized in that: the gas barrier layer is obtained by subjecting a layer, which is obtained by applying and drying a coating liquid that contains at least a polysilazane, to a modification treatment; and the resin layer contains at least an ionic liquid. |
