PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a colored resin composition which contains a xanthene-based compound in a dye and is improved in sensitivity without significantly reducing luminance of a pixel to be obtained, and to provide a color filter formed using the colored resin composition, a high-quality liquid crystal display device, and a high-quality organic EL display device.SOLUTION: The colored resin composition contains (A) a dye, (B) a solvent, (C) a binder resin, and (D) a photopolymerization initiator component. The dye (A) contains a xanthene-based compound represented by a specific structural formula (I). The photopolymerization initiator component (D) contains a compound represented by a specific structural formula (II).
