PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nucleic acid encoding a pro-clotting enzyme derived from horseshoe crab from which a (1→3)-&bgr;-D-glucan and endotoxin measuring reagent of a certain quality may be produced stably, inexpensively, and in large quantities, and to provide a virus retaining the same, a cell retaining the same and a production method of the pro-clotting enzyme using the same, and to provide measuring means of (1→3)-&bgr;-D-glucan and endotoxin using the enzyme.SOLUTION: A detection method of endotoxin uses a pro-clotting enzyme derived from horseshoe crab produced by a recombinant comprising DNA encoding a protein consisting of specific amino acid sequences. The detection method does not add magnesium sulfate in an endotoxin detection system. |
