<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small size mobile terminal unit capable of prompting a user to input on an operation section and preventing peep by a third person while reducing the power consumption.SOLUTION: The terminal unit includes: an operation section 2; a shield part 6 provided around the operation section; a light-emitting part covered with the shield part to illuminate the shield; and a card communication section 5 that performs read/write on an IC card. The terminal unit turns ON and OFF the light-emitting part in a standby mode. When an operation is made on the operation section after the card communication section performs a communication with the IC card, the light-emitting part increases the illumination of the shield part brighter than the standby mode. When determining the completion of the input on the operation section, the terminal unit decreases the illumination of the shield part by the light-emitting part weaker than the input is made on the operation section. When a predetermined time has elapsed, the terminal unit restores the brightness of the illumination of the shield part by the light-emitting part to the brightness in the standby mode.</p> |
