<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tenter oven and a method for producing a thermoplastic resin film that allow uniform characteristics and thickness in film width direction by shielding the air temperature-lowered in the vicinity of an inner wall of a tenter oven and suppressing the flow of air in film width direction to reduce the temperature unevenness in film width direction, and that further reduce the energy required for the temperature rising of a film and also reduce the flaws of a film due to the deposits such as oligomer.SOLUTION: A tenter oven is characterized in that: a blowout part 1 of heated air and a suction part 2 for air within the tenter oven are positioned in film width direction; clips 8 that hold both end parts of a film in width direction and clip rails 9 on which the clips travel are provided; one or more zone in film conveying direction is constituted by one or more chamber; and shield plates 13 are provided in planes approximately vertical to a film plane and approximately parallel to the clip rails, between one of clip holding parts 11a, 11b in the closest distance from one end of the blowout part and between the other of the clip holding parts in the closest distance from the other end of the blowout part.</p> |
