The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a multilayer ceramic electronic component which includes the steps of: preparing a ceramic green sheet; forming an internal electrode pattern on the ceramic green sheet; forming a ceramic body by stacking the ceramic green sheet on which the internal electrode pattern is formed; forming a first external electrode on the exposed part of the internal electrode pattern on the ceramic body; and sintering the ceramic body on which the first external electrode is formed.
