PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimize the encoder of a stereoscopic video distribution system.SOLUTION: In the control of the features of an encoding process for the region of an image pattern representing more than one image, the region includes the amount of parallax of an image represented, becoming mutual interference between the images represented when encoded by the features. The control may be any one of: stopping the encoding features; using fewer encoding features than that when encoding an image pattern representing a single image; applying a bias reversely to the encoding features; and enabling the encoding features in a region determined to have zero or close to zero parallax and disabling the features in other regions. The image represented includes any one of stereoscopic display, a plurality of stereoscopic displays, a plurality of displays of the same scene, and a plurality of unrelated displays. |
