<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for processing data which is compatible with highly sensitive DNA chips having a detective range broader than a conventional detective range, in a detector for analysis chips. <P>SOLUTION: The method for processing data which is configured such that light intensity of a detective probe of analysis chips having a plurality of detective probes is detected to obtain an output numerical value corresponding to the detective probe, includes: the step A of obtaining a plurality of detection numerical value sets by detection with a plurality of different detection sensitivities; the step B of excluding detection numerical values beyond a detective range in the detection numerical value sets of the respective detective probes obtained in the step A; the step C of obtaining linear approximate formulas among the respective detection numerical value sets using the detection numerical values within the detection range obtained after the step B; the step D of correcting the detection numerical values in the respective detection numerical value sets so that the intercept points and the gradients of all the linear approximate formulas obtained in the step C reaches 0 and 1, respectively; and the step E of determining the representative value from the detection numerical values of the respective detective probes after corrected in the step D and deciding the representative value as the output numerical value.
