PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a die casting apparatus capable of obtaining excellent castings even when the casting conditions (the casting pressure, the injection rate of a molten metal, and the temperature of the molten metal) are relaxed. SOLUTION: The die casting apparatus 100 comprises dies 12, 14, a plunger sleeve 20 with a molten metal being allowed to flow therein, and a plunger chip 22 for ejecting the molten metal into cavities of the dies by allowing the molten metal to slide in the plunger sleeve. An inner surface 20a of the plunger sleeve and a fore end face 22a of the plunger chip are coated with a first coating agent and a second coating agent. The first coating agent contains at least one nano-carbons to be selected from a group of carbon nano-coil, carbon nano-tube, and carbon nano-filament. The second coating agent contains fullerene.
