[PROBLEM] Providing a chain transmission device that is capable of reducing a friction loss generated when a power is transmitted without losing durability of a chain guiding tool or a chain. [SOLUTIONS] A chain transmission device (100) includes: a chain (110); a chain guiding tool (170), wherein the chain guiding tool (170) includes a first guide part (171a) and a second guide part (172a) having a radius of curvature less than that of the first guide part (171a); and a plurality of plates including a first plate (130A) and a second plate (130B), wherein the first plate (130a) has a rear surface having a height that is set so that the rear surface does not contact the first guide part (171a) when the first plate (130a) is guided by the first guide part (171a), and the rear surface contacts the second guide part (172a) when the first plate (130a) is guided by the second guide part (172a). |
