A medical accessory holder 10 is provided for use during processing (e.g. cleaning, sterilising) of medical equipment. The holder 10 comprises a tray portion 11 and retaining means 16, 17 associated with the tray portion 11 which are adapted to irreversibly secure the medical accessory 20 such that, once engaged, the medical accessory 20 cannot be removed without breaking the medical accessory holder 10, thereby rendering the holder 10 suitable only for single use. Securing means 13 enable the holder 10 to be secured to the article of medical equipment with which the medical accessory 20 is associated. The retaining means may be a frangible clip to engage the endoscope valves, or may be a retaining bar 17 and a recess 16, the bar 17 having a socket 19 which fits over a pin 21, and a frangible living hinge 18. The holder 10 may have a connector 22 and conduits 24 to deliver cleaning fluid inside the valves. |
