PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To retrieve data groups stored in a plurality of data sources in a traversed manner. SOLUTION: An information collection apparatus (110, 140) includes collection means 114 which accesses each of a plurality of data sources 160A-160C to collect retrieval target data containing an attribute and an attribute value for a retrieval target, an attribute definition table 120 which makes a pair of an attribute and an attribute value defined for each of the data sources 160 correspond to a set of a normalized attribute and a normalized attribute value common for the data sources, normalization means 116 which normalizes retrieval target data by referring to the attribute definition table, and imparts a normalized attribute value and a non-normalized attribute value in association with a corresponding normalized attribute, and means 114 which registers information identifying a collection source data source, a corresponding normalized attribute, a normalized attribute value and a non-normalized attribute value on a database 142 in association with one another as data for retrieval.
