<p>The present invention relates to a device for bidirectional breaking and splitting of a large end portion cap part and a small end portion column part of a connecting rod used in a car engine. According to the present invention, a novel breaking and splitting method that uses a mandrel which has a double inclined structure, in which a lower inclination angle where a product is positioned matches with an inclination angle of a wedge and an upper inclination angle where the product is not positioned does not match with the inclination angle of the wedge during the breaking and the splitting of the connecting rod, is employed so that a force can be concentrated on a breaking site of the product during the breaking and the splitting and quality can be ensured for the breaking and the splitting. In addition, a central wedge that functions to break the product and an both auxiliary wedges that function to widen a slide plate and the mandrel are combined with each other in the novel breaking and splitting method to which rolling friction and an LM structure between the slide plate and an upper frame are applied. Accordingly, the force that acts during the breaking and the splitting can be concentrated to the center and thus the quality of the breaking and the splitting can be improved.</p> |
