The present invention relates to a muffler for a compressor and a compressor having the same. According to the present invention, a suction noise unit and a discharge noise unit are integrally formed. Therefore, the number of components needed to construct a muffler on the suction side and a muffler on the discharge side can be reduced. Also, coolant leakage from the assembled part of a muffler can be prevented and the size of a suction passage and a discharge passage can be reduced. According to the present invention, the suction noise unit and the discharge noise unit are separated. Therefore, the coolant being can be prevented from heating the coolant being sucked and suction loss can be reduced. In addition, according to the present invention, the suction noise unit and the discharge noise unit are made of a plastic material, so manufacturing costs can be reduced. Moreover, a noise space on the suction side and a noise space on the discharge side are simply structured and noise effects are increased by using a suction chamber and a discharge chamber. Therefore, the overall size of a muffler can be reduced and noise effects can be increased. |
