Provided are an electronic device and a method for registering a personal cloud apparatus by the same. The method for registering, by the electronic device, a personal cloud apparatus in a registration server comprises: receiving predetermined application download information and pairing information of a personal cloud apparatus from the personal cloud apparatus using NFC communications; downloading and executing the predetermined application using the received predetermined application download information; performing a pairing operation with the personal cloud apparatus using the received pairing information of the personal cloud apparatus when the predetermined applications is executed; obtaining access point information to connect the personal cloud apparatus to a network and transmitting the access point information to the personal cloud apparatus; and registering the personal apparatus in the registration server when the personal cloud apparatus is connected to the network through the access point.
