The present invention relates to a device and a method for testing drilling equipment capable of performing various tests by exposing drilling equipment such as a BOP device used in abyssal environment to a condition which is similar to abyssal environment. The present invention can prevent and manage problems on the drilling equipment in advance in order to smoothly and rapidly install and operate the drilling equipment in an actual construction site such as deep sea. A monitoring unit is mounted on the inside of the pressure vessel into which the drilling equipment is put. The device and method for testing drilling equipment can safely and accurately perform a test by monitoring test environment in a pressure vessel and an operation state of the drilling equipment in a test process of the drilling equipment.
