Disclosed are a method and apparatus for forming a corrugated panel (10) from sheet metal. The disclosure notes it is difficult to manufacture a corrugated panel with ribs of reasonably large radius using current forming techniques. The method comprises a forming step and a flattening step. The corrugated panel (10) has a plurality of alternating concave (10a) and convex (10b) ribs. The forming step comprises forming an interim profile in the sheet metal. The interim profile includes alternating concave and convex ribs. Each one of the interim ribs has alternating concave and convex rib segments. The flattening step comprises flattening each rib segment of each interim rib so that the interim ribs become smoothly curved to form ribs of the corrugated panel (10). |
