The invention relates to a device for the varying radiation by means of beam shaping. The invention further relates to a method for producing a structure of curable material by impression. In a first step of the method, an impression tool is arranged above a surface, such that in a region between the impression tool and the surface the curable material is adjacent to the surface and to an impression surface of the impression tool facing the surface of said curable material, and such that further curable material can continue to flow into the region. In a second step, the curable material is radiated in the region in a locally varying manner in such a way that the beam undergoes a beam shaping in an optical channel, and such that the curable material cures at a different speed in a laterally varying manner.
