摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform automatic welding on a cylindrical body by achieving controlling elements that are necessary when performing welding such as welding speed and welding length, without requiring elements for actually measuring a diameter of the cylindrical body.SOLUTION: A welding system comprises: a pair of rotary rollers arranged at a predetermined interval; a motor for rotationally driving the rotary rollers; a cylindrical body placed on the rotary rollers; a manipulator having a welding torch for welding the cylindrical body; and a controller for performing control of the manipulator and the motor. The controller calculates rotational speed of the motor for rotating the cylindrical body at welding speed, on the basis of outer peripheral length of the rotary roller rotationally driven by the motor, a speed reduction ratio between the motor and the rotary roller rotationally driven by the motor and the preset welding speed. By rotating the motor at the rotational speed calculated by the controller, the cylindrical body is rotated at the preset welding speed, and the welding is performed by using the welding torch.
