Recording a user's preference for content is disclosed. A first indication that a user has a first preference for the content is received. In response to receiving the first indication, the content is associated with the first preference. A second indication that the user has a second preference for the content is received. In response to receiving the second indication, the content is additional associated with the second preference.

1. A method of indicating a user's preference for content, at a preference system comprising one or more processors, the method comprising:
causing an interface to the preference system to be displayed on multiple client devices, including a first user device operated by a first user and a second user device operated by a second user; receiving, via the interface on the first user device, designation of a first content item and a second content item as favorite content items of the first user; and updating the interface on the second user device to identify the first content item and the second content item as favorite content items of the first user, wherein the updating includes color-coding the first content item and second content item to indicate their relative ages as favorite content items of the first user.
