摘要 The present invention relates to a non-contact control method and a system for the implementation thereof in the form of a polarizing pen, a receiving device and a microprocessor. In the polarizing pen, beams are polarized with the aid of a special cylindrical polarizer, said beams passing through a system of lenses and reflectors and being emitted into space, wherein the direction of the polarization vectors is axially symmetrical about an imaginary axis of the polarizing pen. The receiving device, situated in a working plane, determines the direction and spatial position of the polarizing pen relative to a receiver, and this information is interpreted into control commands with the aid of a microprocessor. The receiving device consists of polarimeters, spaced apart at a predetermined distance from each other. The polarimeters determine the direction of the polarization vectors of incident beams from the polarizing pen. On the basis of the data obtained from each polarimeter, the microprocessor calculates the direction and position angles of the polarizing pen. The claimed system can be used for the following: controlling a cursor on the screen of a monitor with the aid of a polarizing pen by means of installing a receiver on the monitor housing and connecting said receiver to a computer; in remote controls for the easy and intuitive control of content in a home cinema or television connected to a receiver; in robotics for the accurate navigation of a robot inside a room by means of installing receivers on the walls/ceilings of the room, installing a polarizing pen on the body of the robot and wirelessly connecting the receivers to the robot; 3D positioning by means of the detection of the spatial position of a polarizing pen relative to a receiver connected to a computer for use in computer games, simulators and graphics applications and for remotely controlling manipulators and devices. In general, the polarizing pen can be manufactured using a semiconductor light-emitting diode in the infrared range, and the cylindrical polarizer can be made on the basis of a fluoroplastic substrate, to which grids of the appropriate configuration are applied by photolithography. The polarimeters can be manufactured using uncooled grating bolometers.
