The present invention relates to a filter element (5) for an air filter device (1) in the intake air system of an internal combustion engine, particularly in a motor vehicle, having a filter body (7) made from a filtering material and having a sealing frame (14) made from a sealing material, which sealing frame comprises a filter section (16) assigned to the filter body (7), which filter section encloses the filter body (7) in a closed circumference at the edge thereof. An improved variant design is produced if a support frame (15) is provided for fastening a function part (6), which support frame comprises a function part opening (18) and encloses the function part opening (18) in a closed circumference, wherein the sealing frame (14) comprises a function section (17) assigned to the support frame (15) and which encloses the support frame (15) in a closed circumference at the edge thereof. |
