PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical communication device capable of reducing management cost and power consumption.SOLUTION: An optical transmission device according to the invention comprises: an optical transmission circuit for transmitting an optical signal to a communication opposite device; an optical reception circuit for receiving an optical signal from the communication opposite device; and a controller for obtaining standard information related to the optical signal of the communication opposite device from a signal waveform of the optical signal received by the optical reception circuit, and for controlling the optical transmission circuit to transmit an optical signal in accordance with the standard information.
