<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for industrially advantageously producing a powdery polysaccharide derivative by preventing formation of massive materials in classifying the powdery polysaccharide derivative.SOLUTION: There are provided: [1] a method for producing a powdery polysaccharide derivative comprising the following steps (1) and (2); and a polysaccharide derivative obtained by the method. Step (1): a step of obtaining a powdery polysaccharide derivative by reacting powdery polysaccharides with a compound having a reactive functional group in the presence of a basic catalyst. Step (2): a step of sieving the powdery polysaccharide derivative obtained in the step (1) and taking out a material which is passed through the sieve by using a horizontal cylinder screen type classification machine which is provided with a circular cylindrical screen mounted in parallel with a central line in a horizontal direction and a rotary blade which is mounted on the rotation axis rotating on the central line and disperses and rotates a powdery raw material supplied in the circular cylindrical screen.</p> |
