1. An additive for an electrolyte of a lithium battery, comprising:
a compound having the structure of Formula 1: wherein, in Formula 1, R is selected from the group consisting of an unsubstituted or substituted C2-C20 alkenyl, an unsubstituted or substituted C2-C20 alkynyl, an unsubstituted or substituted C3-C8 cycloalkenyl, an unsubstituted or substituted C6-C40 aryl, an unsubstituted or substituted C1-C40 heteroaryl, and an unsubstituted or substituted C2-C40 partially unsaturated heterocyclyl, or R is a polar functional group including a hetero atom; and X is an unsubstituted C2-C20 alkylene group, or X is a C2-C20 alkylene group substituted with one or more R20 groups where each R20 is independently selected from the group consisting of a halo, an unsubstituted or substituted C1-C20 alkyl, an unsubstituted or substituted C2-C20 alkenyl, an unsubstituted or substituted C2-C20 alkynyl, an unsubstituted or substituted C3-C8 cycloalkyl, an unsubstituted or substituted —O—(C1-C8 alkyl), an unsubstituted or substituted C6-C40 aryl, an unsubstituted or substituted C1-C40 heteroaryl, an unsubstituted or substituted C2-C40 heterocyclyl and a polar functional group including a hetero atom. |
