The present invention relates to a system for recommending content based on personal connections and a method thereof. A device for a content service includes: a communication unit which performs communication in a communication network; a content database in which content data and purchaser data of each content are stored; a purchaser inquiry unit which, if a content detail information request signal including content identification data is received from a user terminal through the communication unit, searches the content database and inquires on acquaintances who have purchased content corresponding to the content identification data among acquaintances registered in the personal connection data of a user; and a content detail data generation unit which generates content detail data including a list of the inquired acquaintances and transmits the data to the user terminal. |
