CANOPY ATTACHMENT SYSTEM

Abstract A canopy attachment system enables lightweight, thermoformed plastic outer skins of a canopy to be rigidly, securely and removably attached to a vehicle structure. The system includes: a polymeric outer skin of a 5 canopy; an interior flange attached to the polymeric outer skin; a reinforcement element positioned between the interior flange and the polymeric outer skin; a fastener connecting the interior flange to the reinforcement element; and a clamping element for attaching the reinforcement element to a support structure.
