PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate parallax accurately from a plurality of images captured at different viewpoint positions.SOLUTION: A region-of-interest detection unit 311 detects a region of interest from a criterial image. A luminance parallax conversion unit 315 estimates luminance parallax conversion characteristics from luminance information of the region of interest in a past frame stored in a luminance information storage unit 313 and parallax information of the region of interest in the past frame stored in a parallax information storage unit 314, to perform luminance parallax conversion to the region of interest detected by the region-of-interest detection unit 311 on the basis of an estimation result. A stereo-matching parallax estimation unit 32 performs parallax estimation on the basis of similarity between the criterial image and a reference image having a different viewpoint position from the criterial image. In the region of interest detected by the region-of-interest detection unit 311, similarity is calculated by use of a luminance parallax conversion result of the luminance parallax conversion unit 315, to perform parallax estimation. |
