Disclosed are a multi-execution mode supporting device and a method thereof. According to an aspect of the present invention, the multi-execution mode supporting device includes: an instruction distribution unit which receives a plurality of instructions including operands and opcodes, selects at least an instruction according to a defined execution mode, and delivers an opcode for the selected instruction to a plurality of functional units; an operand switch control unit which generates switch configuration data for routing based on the operand included in the selected instruction; and an operand switch which routes the output of a functional unit or a register file to the input of the functional unit or the register file based on the switch configuration data.
