<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor with high durability that exhibits excellent mechanical durability, electrical characteristics, environmental stability, and gas resistance, and provides high-quality images with less image failure for a long period, as well as an image forming method, an image forming apparatus and a process cartridge using the electrophotographic photoreceptor. <P>SOLUTION: An electrophotographic photoreceptor includes at least a photosensitive layer on a conductive support. The outermost surface layer of the photosensitive layer is formed of a three-dimensional cross-linked film obtained through polymerization of a compound having four [(tetrahydro-2H-pyran-2-yl)oxy]methyl groups on an aromatic ring of a charge transporting compound by reaction in which the [(tetrahydro-2H-pyran-2-yl)oxy]methyl group is cleaved and eliminated. The polymerized compound is a bis(triphenylamine)-based compound having four [(tetrahydro-2H-pyran-2-yl)oxy]methyl groups on the aromatic ring of the charge transporting compound. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
