<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mail transmission method of a portable terminal device, which enables easy mail transmission without operational errors without looking at a screen of a display part or an operation part. <P>SOLUTION: A transmission destination of routine mail is selected from among one or a plurality of registered destinations 101, 102, 103 by the length of pressing time during the long pressing operation of a specific key determined as a destination selection key (sequence Seq1). Also, mail for transmission to be transmitted as the routine mail is selected from one or a plurality of pieces of registered routine mail 111, 112, 113 by the length of the pressing time during the long pressing operation of a specific key determined as a mail selection key (sequence Seq3), e-mail for which the selected transmission destination and the selected piece of mail for transmission are combined is prepared (sequences Seq2,4), and the e-mail is transmitted (sequence Seq5).
