The present invention relates to a control device for a mobile terminal capable of preventing touch errors which a certain area of a touch screen is touched when a user grips a mobile terminal and a method thereof. According to an embodiment disclosed in the present specification, the control device for a mobile terminal may include a control unit which determines if a touch input is continuously inputted during a reference time period during which the mobile terminal is recognized as being gripped by a user and blocks touch data corresponding to the touch input if the touch input is continuously received for the reference time period.
