The radial face (20) is sealed by a U-shaped sealing element (26) having a main limb (30) and two side limbs (32) seated against the lateral faces (22). The pressure chambers (8a, 8b) of the camshaft adjuster (2) are sealed particularly reliably by designing check valves (28) on the side limbs (32) of the sealing element (26) and by designing, on the lateral faces (22) of the vane (12), outlets for the pressure medium with which the check valves (28) are associated.
