PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens device which realizes reduction in cost, including both component cost and manufacturing cost, as well as in size and weight thereof, and offers high-speed image plane adjustment with a highly stable and smooth adjustment system.SOLUTION: A lens device 1 for an optical instrument P, having a focus adjustment mechanism 4 for adjusting focus by displacing a focusing lens unit 3 in an optical axis direction Fc at least through manipulation of a focus adjustment manipulation unit 2 provided on a lens barrel C, is configured such that the lens barrel C is equipped with: an image plane adjustment lens unit 5 which is provided in such a way as to allow displacement thereof in the optical axis direction Fc and has an image plane adjustment lens La; and an image plane adjustment mechanism 6 which makes image plane adjustment by displacing the image plane adjustment lens unit 5 in the optical axis direction Fc by a displacement amount required for adjusting the image plane in accordance with the amount of manipulation applied on the focus adjustment manipulation unit 2. |
