<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a user-friendly electronic pen capable of inputting on an image display device from a position separated away from image display plane.SOLUTION: The image display system 100 includes: an image display device 30 that generates a y-coordinate detection subfield and an x-coordinate detection subfield; and an electronic pen 50 that receives light emission from the y-coordinate detection subfield and the x-coordinate detection subfield to calculate the positional coordinates. The image display system 100 sets a detection effective area where calculated positional coordinates are used for drawing an image and a non-detection area, and changes the size of the detection effective area and the non-detection area based on a switch signal output from the electronic pen 50.</p> |
